Dr. Jim Duchow was born and raised in Wisconsin and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Shortly after graduating, he relocated to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where he built a long and rewarding career in veterinary medicine spanning 31 years. During his time in Idaho, Dr. Duchow practiced companion animal medicine with a strong focus on compassionate, relationship-based care. For 16 of those years, he proudly owned and operated his own veterinary clinic, where he developed lasting connections with clients and their pets while mentoring staff and supporting the local community. In February of 2025, Dr. Duchow and his wife moved to Prescott, Arizona, seeking a change of pace and a new chapter in life. When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Duchow enjoys hiking, bird hunting, and fly fishing with his wife and their dog, Gertrude. He is also the proud father of four grown children who are spread throughout the country.
